How You Will Achieve More:
Intellia Therapeutics, a pioneer in gene editing, is preparing to launch its first gene editing therapies, with a focus on groundbreaking treatments for rare and serious diseases, including hereditary angioedema (HAE) and transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR). We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Value & Access Marketing to support our strategic and tactical efforts in demonstrating the value of, and facilitating the adoption of, our late-stage assets for HAE and ATTR. This role is critical to ensuring successful product launch, fostering market access, site readiness, and building a compelling narrative that resonates with diverse stakeholders, from healthcare providers, channel partners, and payers to patients and caregivers. This role will report to the Senior Director of Market Access Strategy and Value Communication.
Responsibilities:
- Access Marketing: Lead the development and implementation of access materials, including payer facing pre-approval and post-approval materials, and provider facing site reimbursement materials. Develop clear and persuasive communication plans that effectively convey the differentiated value proposition of our therapies. Partner with cross-functional teams, including market access, HEOR, marketing, medical affairs, and corporate communications, to craft narratives that address the needs and interests of clinicians, payers, channel partners, and patient advocacy groups. Identify evidence enhancements & gaps to inform future research objectives to bolster the value proposition and to support product positioning and aligned access goals.
- Access Training: Lead the creation, approval, and roll out of training materials to support the market access field facing teams initial onboarding and continued educational needs. Support cross functional training needs for education and communication of market access related information.
- Access & Value Strategy Development: Support the creation and execution of comprehensive market access & value strategies that clearly communicate the impact and benefits of Intellia’s gene editing therapies in HAE and ATTR. Develop and refine strategies that align with our commercial goals and resonate in global markets. Contribute to the Global Commercial Development Plan for ATTR.
- Launch & Site Readiness: Support the development and refinement of launch plans and execution of market access strategies, marketing initiatives and lead corresponding materials/ innovative tactics to ensure launch readiness across all access channels to secure access for providers and patients.
- Market development: Work to establish reimbursement pathways for first-in-class gene therapies across access stakeholders including payer pre-launch engagement plans and site readiness preparation, including supporting marketing programs and communication materials.
- Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence: Leverage insights from the HAE and ATTR access & payer landscapes to inform value strategy, messaging, and positioning. Regularly analyze market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory landscape to refine Intellia’s approach and enhance the launch trajectory.
- Market Access Operations: Provide support for overall market access activities, including but not limited to management of department budget, congress planning and support, agency management, and market access meetings.
- Pricing & Reimbursement Strategy Support: Develop communication materials to support optimal coverage and reimbursement, particularly for novel therapies in rare disease.
About You:
- Proven success in supporting value strategy, market access, or strategic communications functions in a launch setting, with demonstrated ability to deliver differentiated and compelling value narratives, customer-facing access marketing materials, and effective reimbursement pull through materials.
- Demonstrated experience in CMLR and veeva processes, working with agency partners, and ability to drive execution to timelines.
- Proven ability to develop and execute pull-through plans specific to payers
- Strong project management skills, with ability to drive projects independently, establish budgets, and meet deadlines
- Experience in launching first in class products in the United States, including both pre-launch early payer engagement and market development, as well as post launch payer facing and provider facing materials.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare payer systems, reimbursement models – including the US buy-and-bill model, and value frameworks, especially in rare disease.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present confidently to a range of audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a commitment to addressing the unique challenges of gene editing therapies.
- Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD) or equivalent in business, life sciences, public health, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in biopharma, ideally in gene therapy, gene editing, or other innovative therapeutics, with 3+ years in a market access marketing related role.

The base salary for this position is expected to range between $201,883.00 - $246,745.00 USD per year.The salary offered is determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant education and training, overall related experience, specialized, rare or in-demand skill sets, internal comparators and other business needs. Upon joining Intellia, your salary will be reviewed periodically and additional factors such as time in role and performance will be considered. Intellia may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Additional compensation includes a performance-based annual cash bonus, a new hire equity grant, and eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards the value of which are determined annually at the Company’s discretion.
