About the job
This role sits within the U.S. Communications, Specialty Care team and reports to the Head, U.S. Communications for Rare Disease and RBD. The role is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 
 

The Lead is responsible for planning and managing external and internal communications for the RBD franchise in the U.S. by driving communications for marketed products treating serious rare blood disorders such as hemophilia, acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (aTTP)/immune-mediated thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (iTTP), and immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), as well as a potential assets in late-stage clinical development. This role will support internal and external communications for the RBD portfolio, as well as communicate Sanofi’s leadership, innovation, and commitment to patients through medicines, advocacy efforts, patient support services and applicable CSR initiatives.
 

The Lead will serve as a key communications business partner within the RBD franchise and collaborate closely with U.S. and global Corporate Affairs colleagues to ensure aligned messaging and positioning.

 Main Responsibilities

  • Provide communications counsel and strategic input to support the RBD business, including currently marketed products for hemophilia, aTTP/iTTP, and ITP, as well as late-stage pipeline assets in clinical development; drive execution of communications programs that deliver measurable business results

  • Develop and manage comprehensive communication strategies internally and externally to support the business units brand priorities, including partnering with the Global Media Relations team members dedicated to U.S. efforts, to ensure aligned messaging and positioning.

  • Provide strategic leadership in the creation and implementation of impactful communication programs, internally and externally, across brand areas. This will include but is not limited to disease awareness/brand integration programs; branded communication activity; digital communications; potential new product entries.

  • Drive disease awareness programs, branded communication activities, data and regulatory milestone support, and digital communications that advance the RBD franchise and serve the rare blood disorder patient community

  • Deliver innovative approaches and plans in the digital and social media landscape, leveraging a strong working knowledge of emerging platforms and channels to reach key audiences

  • Manage the agency of record for RBD communications, providing strategic direction, overseeing deliverables, and ensuring high-quality execution aligned with franchise priorities

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; a degree in Communications, Business Administration, or Journalism is preferred.

  • 5–8 years of experience in product Public Relations, Communications, and/or Corporate Communications.

    • At least 3 of those years must be in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or with a healthcare public relations agency.

  • Experience in both internal and external communications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

The salary range for this position is:

$123.750,00 - $178.750,00
