Position Overview:

The Associate Director, Testing is responsible for ensuring exceptional delivery of testing services to clients, maintaining oversight of the US-based Operations Testing team, and upholding quality standards and on-time delivery. This role will also serve as a technical liaison, interfacing with clients to address needs and ensure satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee testing processes for study delivery, promoting efficient practices, high-quality standards, and consistency across accounts.
  • Lead the team with robust metrics to measure performance and ensure quality delivery. 
  • Collaborate with the Account Management team on monthly QA/Ops metrics for each account team, identifying trends and implementing solutions for continuous process improvement.
  • Develop internal relationships across the organization to coordinate and address issues related to overflow capacity and future capacity plans.
  • Act as a point of escalation for client issues, working collaboratively to identify and implement resolutions.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, focusing on procedures for the design, testing, and delivery of software, including identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining.
  • Provide leadership and management to ensure the Testing & Validation team achieves organizational goals and meets individual goals.
  • Foster a positive, results-orientated work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  • Oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new team members.
  • Mentor and provide training oversight to the Testing team, including Lead Testers.
  • Standardize and enhance testing uniformity across the organization.
  • Travel as needed to support customer meetings and other business needs.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility in software testing, with experience in testing automation preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the life science industry. 
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and foster a commitment to excellence.
  • Prior experience supporting sales activities is a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment preferred. 
  • Prior experience delivering Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Interactive Web Response (IWR), and Interactive Mobile Response (IMR) platforms is a big plus. 
  • Proven leadership experience leading distributed teams, especially in a regulated industry, is highly desirable.
