About This Role:
As the Associate Director, Strategy & Operations - BNA (Biogen North America), you will be the driving force behind our most critical initiatives, guiding them from concept to execution. In this cross-functional leadership role, you’ll orchestrate planning rigor, operational communications, and milestone delivery for BNA’s strategic priorities. You’ll partner directly with senior leaders and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business.
What You’ll Do:
• Own the planning execution engine for BNA, partner with Business Insights & Operation (BIO) and Corporate Finance on annual brand strategy, tactical and financial planning cycle.
• Orchestrate the operating rhythm for internal forums, ensuring quality control, synthesis, and coordination
• Run the NALT (North America Leadership Team) materials engine end-to-end, managing agenda capture, content planning, contributor briefings, and executive pre-reads and presentations
• Maintain and track an action log for leadership team enablement.
• Enable cross-functional coordination across Marketing, Medical, and Market Access, clarifying roles, decision rights, and handoffs
• Provide project management support for priority S&O (Strategy & Operations) initiatives, including charters, plans, inputs, dependencies, and tracking timelines
• Maintain the single source of truth for milestones, KPIs, risks, and spend in coordination with BNA Finance and TA (Therapeutic Area) & Function S&O leads
• Monitor, report, and troubleshoot initiatives in partnership with franchise and functional unit teams to drive results
• Provide analytical and coordination support for business performance and execution forums, including pre-read assembly and dashboard refreshes
• Pressure-test assumptions, synthesize inputs, and align leadership on priorities, converting complex inputs into concise, executive-ready deliverables
• Ensure document accuracy and readiness for investor relations preparation, supporting senior leaders in high-stakes communications
Who You Are:
You possess a strategic mindset that allows you to synthesize complex information into actionable plans. You have a knack for structuring and managing timelines, ensuring seamless coordination across various functions.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
• 7+ years of experience in biopharma commercial/strategy/S&O, management consulting, or corporate PMO
• Ability to lead and influence in the matrix
• Excellent interpersonal skills/ highly collaborative
• Ability to cultivate strong internal/external network
• Strong operational skills; project/ timeline management capabilities
• Effective problem-solving skills
Additional Information
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
