Summary of role

The Associate Director, Procurement Systems & Governance is the enterprise leader responsible for Lantheus’ procurement technology ecosystem and governance framework. This role ensures that Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems, data, and processes operate efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with best-in-class procurement standards.

As Lantheus continues to scale and evolve through system modernization initiatives — including a new ERP/S4HANA environment, expanded use of Ariba procurement tools, and an upcoming Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) deployment — this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of procurement technology.

The ideal candidate is a systems-savvy procurement leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, builds strong cross-functional partnerships, and establishes governance structures that enable Lantheus’ continued growth.

This position is based in Massachusetts and requires a presence onsite 3-4 days per week, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Responsibilities

Procurement Systems Leadership

· Serve as the enterprise owner for procurement systems, including SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Ariba Source-to-Pay solutions.

· Lead the optimization, enhancement, and issue resolution cycle for procurement systems in partnership with IT, Finance, Legal, AP, Quality, and Category Management.

· Define, document, and implement procurement system best practices to ensure efficiency, compliance, and strong user adoption.

· Influence and shape the long-term procurement systems roadmap, ensuring alignment to enterprise digital transformation priorities and scalability needs.

Source-to-Pay Process Governance

· Establish and maintain governance for requisitioning, purchasing, approvals, supplier setup, contracting, and invoice-related procurement processes.

· Ensure procurement processes reflect industry standards, support strong internal controls, and enable end-to-end operational efficiency.

· Partners with business stakeholders streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and harmonize system usage across teams.

Contracting Systems & Integration

· Support Procurement’s role in the deployment of a new streamlined Lantheus CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) system

· Ensure seamless integration between the CLM platform and procurement/financial systems.

· Build standardized contracting processes, metadata expectations, and governance frameworks that support consistent execution across the enterprise aligned with our franchise model.

Governance, Controls & Audit Leadership

· Enhance and maintain SOX-compliant procurement controls across systems and processes.

· Serve as Procurement’s primary representative for internal and external audit walkthroughs related to system controls, procurement processes, and data integrity.

· Ensure process documentation, policies, and system configurations remain tightly aligned and audit-ready.

Reporting, Analytics & Business Enablement

· Partner with Procurement and Category Management leadership to enhance reporting, including spend analytics, savings tracking, cycle-time transparency, and supplier performance metrics.

· Develop standardized reporting frameworks and dashboards that inform decision-making and enable operational excellence.

· Leverage analytics to proactively identify cost savings opportunities and process improvement areas.

People Leadership & Organizational Development

· Lead and develop a specialized Procurement Systems & Governance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional partnership.

· Demonstrate a hands-on leadership style — willing to dive deeply into system details while mentoring team members.

· Build capabilities, documentation, and scalable processes that support organizational growth and readiness for future acquisitions, system expansions, and process enhancements.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications in supply chain, IT, or process excellence preferred.

· 8+ years of experience in procurement systems, Source-to-Pay processes, or digital procurement transformation.

· Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA procurement modules and Ariba procurement solutions.

· Demonstrated success in implementing or optimizing procurement systems in a complex or growing organization.

· Strong understanding of procurement governance frameworks, controls, and SOX compliance requirements.

· Proven ability to lead teams and partner effectively across IT, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and Audit.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience implementing or supporting Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions.

· Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medtech, or other regulated industries.

· Strong analytical and reporting skills, with familiarity in building dashboards and procurement analytics tools.

The pay range for this position is between $139,000-$232,000 annually.

Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Employees in this position are eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash incentive, and depending on the level of the role may be eligible for a discretionary annual equity award. Benefits for this position include a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Other offerings include life and disability benefits, pre-tax accounts, a 401(k) with company contribution, and a variety of other benefits.
