About This Role
We are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial Associate Director to drive the evolution of OPH’s connected health platform across health experience services. This role requires a unique blend of systems thinking, product vision, and startup grit to translate ambiguous needs into scalable solutions.
You’ll complement existing team capabilities by leading the design of a flexible platform strategy, building business cases, and guiding cross-functional execution. Your work will directly influence how OPH delivers meaningful digital experiences to patients, caregivers, and clinicians.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Business Case Development & Strategic Scenario Planning
- Develop strategic scenarios and greenfield evaluations using incomplete or ambiguous information.
- Translate early-stage ideas into structured options with clearly articulated trade-offs, risks, and investment needs.
- Build business cases with quantified value propositions to support platform-related decisions by Connected Health and OPH leadership.
Portfolio Optimization and Strategic Framing
- Identify synergies, overlaps, and white space across OPH’s digital health initiatives to inform an integrated Connected Health portfolio strategy.
- Evaluate opportunities for shared infrastructure, user pathways, data flows, or partner ecosystems across various initiatives.
- Develop and present structured business cases to inform prioritization, investment decisions, and build/buy/partner strategies.
- Architect and manage a modular digital platform spanning multiple disease areas and user needs.
- Define product roadmaps and coordinate technical development with internal IT and external vendors.
Cross-functional Execution
- Partner with commercial, medical, regulatory, legal, and access teams to ensure platform alignment with launch goals and compliance requirements.
- Oversee external partners and vendors to ensure high-quality delivery within budget and timeline.
- Lead pilots and feedback loops to iteratively validate product-market fit.
Innovation & Ecosystem Scanning
- Monitor emerging digital health trends and identify new opportunities for platform expansion (e.g., integration with wearables, data monetization, smart pharmacy).
- Represent Connected Health in tech diligence, BD conversations, and innovation forums.
EXPECTED TRAVEL
- Ability to travel up to 20%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years of experience in digital health, product management, management consulting, or strategic operations in healthcare or life sciences.
- Experience in early-stage product development, platform architecture, or launching technology-enabled services.
- Demonstrated ability to build business cases, evaluate greenfield opportunities, and make decisions with imperfect information.
- Track record of thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) preferred.
- Startup Operator Mindset: High ownership, ability to wear many hats, and comfort with navigating ambiguity.
- Structured Thinking: Fluency in frameworks to evaluate build/buy/partner paths, define success metrics, and communicate trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative Leadership: Strong interpersonal and influence skills to align cross-functional teams and drive forward momentum.
- Growth Mentality: Eagerness to learn, iterate, and grow into new challenges as the Connected Health function scales.
- Mission-Driven Focus: Passion for building digital solutions that empower underserved patients and redefine therapeutic engagement.
