About This Role

As the Associate Director of Integrated Insights & Analytics, you will play a critical individual contributor role within the US Decision Sciences team, serving as the lead insights partner for a key inline or pipeline asset. This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, energized by uncovering the 'why' behind customer behaviors, and driven to turn complex information into strategic action.

Working closely with the US Brand Team and cross-functional partners, you will design and execute market research, integrate diverse data sources, and develop compelling insight-driven narratives that shape brand strategy and critical business decisions. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, the persistence to dig beyond surface-level findings, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.

This position follows a hybrid work model, with a minimum of three days onsite every week at our headquarters in Cambridge, MA.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the go-to insights partner for the asset, aligning work to brand priorities and decision points.

  • Own the integrated insights narrative across research and secondary analytics; translate findings into clear recommendations.

  • Design and execute primary market research (e.g., segmentation, message testing, patient/HCP studies) to answer priority business questions.

  • Analyze and synthesize secondary data (e.g., claims, specialty pharmacy, market data) to track performance, diagnose drivers, and surface opportunities.

  • Frame ambiguous problems, propose the right research/analytics approach, and manage vendor scope, timelines, and deliverables end-to-end.

  • Develop executive-ready materials and present insights with clarity and confidence.

  • Partner cross-functionally to translate insights into action.

  • Contribute to Integrated Customer Planning and budget planning through customer and market insights.

  • Support KPI and dashboard requirements with analytics partners.

  • Proactively identify emerging business questions and uncover unmet insight needs before they become critical decision points.

  • Challenge assumptions through rigorous research and analysis, bringing forward perspectives that sharpen strategic thinking.

  • Continuously explore customer, competitive, and market dynamics to identify opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations.

Who You Are

You are an intellectually curious and highly motivated insights professional who enjoys digging beneath the surface to understand customer, market, and business dynamics. You are energized by solving ambiguous problems, asking thoughtful questions, and pursuing answers through a combination of research, data, and critical thinking.

You bring both strategic perspective and execution excellence, demonstrating persistence when faced with incomplete information and a strong sense of ownership for delivering impactful outcomes. You are comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders and translating complex findings into compelling stories that drive action.

Required Skills

  • 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or healthcare consulting environments, including significant hands-on market research experience within the last five years.

  • Proven ability to independently design, execute, and synthesize primary market research studies that inform strategic business decisions.

  • Depth in at least two competency areas: primary research methods and secondary analytics (forecasting familiarity a plus).

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects end-to-end, including problem definition, vendor management, synthesis, and communication.

  • Demonstrated success navigating ambiguous business questions and proactively identifying opportunities to generate actionable insights.

  • Strong synthesis and storytelling skills with the ability to produce concise, executive-ready PowerPoint deliverables.

  • Working knowledge of common pharmaceutical data sources and data visualization tools.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MS preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting specialty, rare disease, neuroscience, or biologic portfolios.

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative research into a cohesive strategic narrative.

  • Strong intellectual curiosity with a track record of challenging assumptions and uncovering non-obvious insights.

  • Experience influencing senior commercial leaders through insight-driven recommendations.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization.

  • Experience in management consulting or life sciences consulting, particularly in market research, commercial strategy, customer insights, or analytics engagements supporting pharmaceutical or biotech clients.
