Who we are:

Kymera is a clinical-stage biotechnology company pioneering the field of targeted protein degradation (TPD) to develop medicines that address critical health problems and have the potential to dramatically improve patients’ lives. Kymera is deploying TPD to address disease targets and pathways inaccessible with conventional therapeutics. Having advanced the first degrader into the clinic for immunological diseases, Kymera is focused on building an industry-leading pipeline of oral small molecule degraders to provide a new generation of convenient, highly effective therapies for patients with these conditions. Founded in 2016, Kymera has been recognized as one of Boston’s top workplaces for the past several years. For more information about our science, pipeline and people, please visit www.kymeratx.com or follow us on X (formerly Twitter) or LinkedIn.

Kymera Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to join our Infrastructure & Operations team as a key partner to the Senior Director. This role will serve as the number two within the team, with a primary focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both AWS and Azure environments, combined with enterprise networking and identity management experience.

This role is critical in shaping Kymera’s technology landscape — evaluating the current environment, defining the target state, and executing on a strategic roadmap to enable scientific innovation and business growth. A particular emphasis will be placed on securely moving and integrating data from on-premises laboratory equipment into AWS, while also strengthening hybrid identity, endpoint management, and cloud governance.

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Infrastructure & Operations to define and execute the strategic roadmap for infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Architect, implement, and manage scalable AWS environments to support research, development, and business applications.
  • Design and maintain secure and reliable enterprise networking, including firewalls, routing, switching, hybrid connectivity, and dual internet connections.
  • Develop strategies for reliable and secure transfer of lab data into AWS, leveraging AWS best practices for compliance and scalability.
  • Consult on Azure and Entra ID (Azure AD) hybrid identity initiatives, including Conditional Access, authentication policies, and governance.
  • Oversee Intune endpoint management, including device compliance, configuration policies, and security baselines.
  • Collaborate with Security, Applications, and Data teams to ensure end-to-end solution integrity and compliance.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, including architecture design, proof-of-concepts, and implementation oversight.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to building a high-performing infrastructure and operations organization.

Skills and experience you’ll bring:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years in an architecture or senior engineering capacity.
  • Proven expertise in AWS architecture, design, and operations (AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification strongly preferred).
  • Strong background in enterprise networking (firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, hybrid/cloud connectivity, SD-WAN).
  • Experience integrating on-premises data sources and lab environments with cloud platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of Azure and Entra ID hybrid identity management, including Conditional Access, authentication, and governance.
  • Hands-on experience with Intune for endpoint compliance, configuration, and security.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, or research-intensive organizations is a plus.
