FL94 Inc., is a privately held, early-stage biotechnology company pioneering the emerging field of Protein Editing. At FL94 we create small molecules that edit protein structure and function to unlock presently undruggable targets and a broad array of therapeutic modalities. THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Operations, the Director / Associate Director of Strategic Operations will work closely with leadership within FL94 to establish and manage partnerships, R&D operations and support corporate and portfolio strategy.

This role will support high-priority, high-impact projects across the organization. The successful candidate will have scientific acumen, be deeply collaborative, a highly organized and results-driven operator, outstanding communicator, and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnerships and R&D Operations

  • For partnerships, plan and lead cross-functional team meetings, manage internal and external communications, monitor program risks and opportunities, and ensure milestones, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Develop and maintain integrated, cross-functional project management plans (including timelines, roadmaps, and dashboards) to support scientific teams and facilitate decision-making.
  • Collaborate with scientific leads to design, optimize, and scale operational workflows using AI/ML and workflow automation platformsbling real-time business and scientific decision-making.
  • Provide operational oversight and strategic guidance to ensure the efficient execution of R&D programs, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and timely delivery of key milestones.

Corporate and Portfolio Strategy

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to shape, translate, and execute the company's corporate strategy.
  • Develop and refine company presentation materials for investors, Board, and external stakeholders in close collaboration with leadership and scientific team.
  • Support portfolio and program strategy with market and competitive assessments.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • MD or PhD strongly preferred, BS or other graduate degree in life sciences required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic planning, project/program management within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and/or biopharma management consulting. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working directly with executive leadership is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and drug development landscape and processes
  • Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments, build consensus, and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Ability to manage diverse perspectives and drive alignment.
  • Experience and familiarity with PM tools (Notion, Smartsheets, Microsoft Projects) and AI-augmented productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, Notion AI, automation APIs) and comfort exploring and applying them to operations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and synthesis skills, with the ability to present structured updates on complex scientific and business concepts to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
  • Highly self-motivated problem solver with the ability to handle uncertainty, work under pressure, and deliver results with minimal oversight. Strong multitasking abilities and organizational skills.

The salary range for this role is $157,000 - $231,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. FL94 currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits. Compensation and benefits information is based on FL94’s good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
