While this is a remote position, periodic travel and accommodating meetings in different time zones is expected.

What does an Associate Director, Converged TV do at Rain?

  • Contribute to strategic direction and account leadership across digital video initiatives
    • Champion all forms of Digital Video with a focus on CTV
      • Deliver strong industry POVs on ad tech, publisher developments, consumption trends and more
    • Be a thought leader, standardize best practices, and streamline efficiencies & automation
    • Provide leadership across the Digital Video team, including Supervisors and Specialists
    • Responsible for account supervision and fostering strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders
    • Oversee development of effective performance and brand-building strategies specific to digital video
    • Develop education materials for both internal and external client use, providing the needed information on strategies, partnerships and adoption of ad tech
  • Responsibilities, functions, and objectives of the position
    • Partner with the Integrated Planning and Investment teams utilizing audience tools, historical performance data, scorecards, and best practices specific to the client objectives to identify the best investment allocations
    • Direct involvement and oversight of execution of campaigns through a variety of methods including Direct IO, programmatic platforms, etc.
    • Report on campaign performance, progress against goals, and future strategies with senior executives
    • Manage digital video processes; ensuring they are current, effective, and adopted across the practice
    • Align programmatic initiatives with broader marketing and business objectives
    • Proven fluency in the major DSPs including The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon, Yahoo, Viant and more – effectively understanding DSP strengths, areas of improvement and workflows. Additionally, evaluate new DSP offerings across the marketplace
    • Ensure quality of work across digital video practices consistently meets Agency’s standards
  • Contribute to Agency Growth
    • Contribute to goals for the department, inclusive of certifications, training, growth opportunities and account assignments
    • Adhere to departmental processes, standards, and best practices
    • Discover new ways to leverage our media and ad tech partners, including data targeting, digital video innovation, and platform execution strategies
    • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in digital video advertising services
    • Contribute to channel specific inputs for new business pitches and act as subject matter expert for new account onboarding needs

What do we look for in an Associate Director, Converged TV at our agency?

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience, with a focus on digital video planning and activation
  • Understanding of platform and publisher relationships, data targeting capabilities, buy types and best options to activate digital media
  • Experience with DSPs, CTV publishers, measurement, currency, trafficking, reporting, and the development of campaign performance insights
  • Enjoys evaluating data. Ability to review performance data sets, identify critical storylines and communicate accordingly internally and externally
  • A collaborative spirit and an active interest in mentoring and managing team members
  • A strong interest in ad tech, digital video trends and innovation
  • Strong project management skills and high attention to detail
