Job Duties: Construct investment portfolios. Rebalance portfolios for flows, benchmark changes and client directed events. Develop strong business relationships with Lead PMs, Product Strategists, and members from Compliance, Operations and Client facing teams to ensure smooth portfolio onboarding process, new account activation and to improve day to day investment operations. Ensure that portfolios are in compliance with their investment guidelines and quickly raise and resolve potential issues. Monitor Corporate Actions Manager dashboard and process corporate action elections for team in timely manner. Contribute to corporate credit alpha, yield and idea generation through security selection and substitution trade idea recommendations. Develop analytics, reports, tools and framework to assist in better security risk monitoring and performance attribution that can be shared with broader investment team.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; and 2 years of experience in any related job involving Finance and Risk Management. Requires 2 years of experience involving each of the following: 1. Running multi-sector portfolios as a portfolio manager by assisting in the day-to-day operations of managing multi sector fixed income portfolios including monitoring positioning/risk, identifying investment opportunities, loading trades, ensuring portfolios are managed within guidelines and monitoring cash coming in and out of portfolios. 2. Process driven background including introduction of controls & procedures that focuses on systematic methods and workflows that involves analyzing and mapping out steps for a process to ensure that the task/workflow is completed efficiently and effectively. 3. Fixed income markets, including complexities of different issue types, liquidity, and trading various fixed income products, including corporate bonds, CDX, and securitized products, as well as associated analytics. New issues in the market can be issued at various points in the capital structure, such as Senior, Subordinated, and Hybrid. Familiarity with unique features of new issues, like 144A for life, SMRs, or call options, and their potential implications. Liquidity dynamics in the corporate bond market, including the factors that make some bonds more or less liquid than others, and the implications of holding less liquid bonds. Corporate bonds trade on the secondary market, including bid/ask size, portfolio trading, and market technicals. 4. Advanced Excel to efficiently synthesize and summarize large data sets, knowledge of numerous excel formulas/capabilities, and capability to automate tasks. 5. SQL and Python to automate processes, parse and filter large data sets, create efficiency in day-to-day operations.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$134,400.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
