Who We Are. Wayfair’s Specialty Retail Creative team is a dynamic group of innovative thinkers spanning multiple disciplines. We collaborate closely with strategic leaders to elevate Joss & Main, Birch Lane, and AllModern into premier destinations for home furnishings and décor. As a hands-on, collaborative team, we’re dedicated to producing high-quality branded assets for a variety of marketing materials, including digital, print, and video advertising.

The Role. Our team is seeking a creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Copywriter. In this role, you’ll translate business goals into compelling, on-brand, promotional content that drives customer engagement and action. The ideal candidate is a self-starter eager to refine their sales-driving writing and communication skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do: 


  • Under the guidance of Copy Managers, write marketing copy for all three Specialty Retail Brands across a variety of initiatives, ensuring alignment with creative and business objectives, with a focus on each brand’s marketing strategies.
  • Create omnichannel copy for promotions, paid social copy for seasonal campaigns, print and digital work for physical retail events, and much more.
  • Conduct competitor research to keep a pulse on what other brands are doing to stay fresh, relevant, and engaging.
  • Navigate feedback during meetings and project reviews, remaining objective, adaptable, and open to revisions.
  • Turn collective feedback into actionable next steps, identifying opportunities to pivot and offering thoughtful solutions when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, maintaining clear and professional communication with support from team managers.
  • Prioritize efficiency, creating and updating templates and LLM/AI prompts to produce work quickly and to our high standards.

Who You Are: 

  • 1+ year of experience in copywriting (can include internships).
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, including Docs and Sheets.
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adaptability and comfort with change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with LLM / GenAI tools a plus.
