Associate Consultant / Counsultant, Value, Access & Pricing Advisory

Associate Consultant / Consultant at Red Nucleus is responsible for leading project workstreams and supporting the delivery of strategic consulting engagements for pharmaceutical clients. Working as part of a collaborative team, this individual will conduct research, analyze complex data, develop strategic insights, and build evidence-based recommendations that help clients navigate pricing, reimbursement, market access and commercialization challenges across global markets.

This role combines analytical rigor, structured problem-solving, client communication, and project leadership. Successful candidates will contribute to all phases of consulting engagements, including secondary research, stakeholder engagement, qualitative and quantitative analysis, development of strategic recommendations, and presentation of findings to clients.

Candidates may be hired at either the Associate Consultant or Consultant level based on experience and demonstrated capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Analysis & Insight Generation

• Conduct secondary research across pricing, reimbursement, market access, healthcare policy, competitive intelligence, and therapeutic area landscapes.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify key findings, strategic insights, risks, and opportunities.
• Apply structured problem-solving approaches to address complex client business questions.
• Develop strategic recommendations supported by evidence, stakeholder input, and market analysis.
• Translate complex information into clear, actionable implications for clients.

Project Delivery

• Lead or support project workstreams across pricing and access strategy engagements.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and workstream deliverables.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations are met.
• Contribute to the design and execution of primary research, including stakeholder interviews, surveys, and advisory boards.
• Support development of discussion guides, interview materials, and analytical frameworks.
• Ensure high-quality, client-ready deliverables through rigorous quality control and attention to detail.

Client Engagement

• Develop a strong understanding of client objectives, products, therapeutic areas, and market dynamics.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to discussions and recommendations.
• Present analyses, findings, and strategic recommendations clearly and confidently.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across project teams and functional areas.
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Firm Development

• Support business development activities, proposals, thought leadership initiatives, and recruiting efforts.
• Contribute to internal knowledge management, best practices, and capability-building initiatives.
• Stay current on evolving trends in healthcare, market access, pricing, reimbursement, and biopharmaceutical commercialization.

Education, Experience, Training, and Knowledge

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, Public Health, Health Policy, Pharmacy, or a related discipline required. Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD) valued, but not required

Experience:

Associate Consultant

• Approximately 2-4 years of experience in consulting, market access, healthcare strategy, life sciences, pharmaceutical industry, or a related field

Consultant

• Approximately 3-5+ years of experience in consulting, market access, healthcare strategy, life sciences, pharmaceutical industry, or a related field.
• Experience leading workstreams and managing project activities
