Job Responsibilities:
- Review and approve required application and KYC documentation for new client onboarding and prepare client acceptance documentation to submit for regional and global approval.
- Perform KYC customer due diligence (CDD) on clients, authorized signatories, beneficial owners and traders in accordance with firm policy and procedure
- Manage the end-to-end KYC process for all U.S. clients including periodic and event-driven reviews for neutral, medium and increased risk-rated clients.
- Process and decision the daily ongoing monitoring screening alerts, liaising with Relationship Managers and Compliance teams on any true match escalations.
- Perform data quality four-eye checks to ensure validity and accuracy of client data and information
- Collaborate with clients and Relationship Managers to ensure all relevant and required documentation is received and completed by internal deadlines
- Escalate material true match screening alerts, along with any other issues, complaints, or exception requests to appropriate personnel in management, Compliance, Legal or Risk teams as needed
- Process ad-hoc client maintenance including, but not limited to, legal name changes, address changes, ownership changes, TIN changes, membership changes as well as changes in authorized signers, ultimate beneficial owners and traders ensuring all required documentation for any such changes is received.
- Collecting required client agreements and term sheets in accordance with relevant internal and external guidelines, and ensuring these documents are executed by an authorized signatory and stored in the client file.
- Offboard client relationships and close accounts.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience within the financial services industry or within a KYC or AML role
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong knowledge of U.S. AML regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, FINCEN CDD Final Rule, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification
- Strong knowledge of best practices for KYC client reviews
- Working knowledge of SalesForce
- Experience with various KYC systems and 3rd party vendors (Equifax, Lexis Nexis, WorldCheck, Wolters Kluwer, Moody's (RDC), Fenergo, etc)
