As an Associate Buyer on our Merchandising Team, you'll play a key role in turning merchandise direction into exciting products - from sourcing and development to delivery and inventory management - all while helping us achieve our financial goals.


Using your keen sense of fashion direction and merchandising knowledge you will support DXL's mission by:

  • Partnering with vendors to strategize, analyze, and resolve inventory challenges while ensuring top performance
  • Researching industry trends, customer insights, and market data to support seasonal marketing briefs
  • Contributing to Merchandise Style-Out Presentations and collaborating with Marketing on promotions and campaign materials.
  • Providing regular analysis of sales, sell-through, turns, and gross margin across weekly, monthly, and seasonal timelines
  • Supporting the growth and development of the Assistant Buyer through training and mentorship

We're looking for someone that has:

  • A bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a specialty retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of merchandising procedures and retail accounting
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Hands-on experience in assistant merchandising or allocation roles
