BlackRock’s Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver detailed investment outcomes and innovative alpha insights. Our team of 600+ multi-asset investment professionals construct active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS handles over $2 trillion in assets and has a strong presence in the Americas, EMEA and throughout Asia Pacific.

Position Overview:

The Models Infrastructure team owns the development of a scalable operating platform and client experience underpinned by a robust governance framework for Model Portfolios. Collaborating with Sales and Service, MASS Researchers, Strategists, Portfolio Managers, and various technology and operations partners, the team addresses complex business challenges and helps drive business growth. We are expanding the team to accelerate delivery of key initiatives that enable commercial priorities and business growth. In this role, you will evaluate business outcomes, assess existing processes and systems, and propose solutions to support these objectives. The ideal candidate excels in a dynamic environment, demonstrates creativity and confidence, takes initiative, and effectively leads multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze and convert findings into specific requirement documents, working with teams and partners to improve processes and technology

  • Become a subject matter authority in models which would include understanding the investment strategies, service offerings and operating platform

  • Lead the preparation of materials to communicate findings, recommendations, progress, and outcomes

  • Design, deliver, and operate oversight processes for functions owned within the team to independently evaluate the strength of infrastructure domains

  • Assist with planning and delivery of projects and programs to ensure they meet desired outcomes and delivery targets

  • Provide 20% daily operations support including onboarding, rebalance, delivery, and process oversight

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Proven ability in business process analysis, design, and documentation preferably in asset management or financial services with exposure across multiple asset classes and investment fields

  • Excellent at crafting clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences, and adept at articulating lines of reasoning (written and verbal)

  • Solid understanding of financial markets and investments (i.e., understanding of Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives)

  • Self-motivated: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting

  • Technical competence, understanding technology in a business context, and proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, and data visualization techniques

  • Strong interest to learn about and use Aladdin; familiarity with Aladdin a plus

  • Experience of working both independently and as part of a team in a global environment


 


 

For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$140,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
