- Provide hands on engineering support at the client hardware and software level, including evaluation and resolution of technical issues affecting the network
- Working with vendors to help troubleshoot equipment issues, install version updates to keep the broadcast running smoothly

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in Broadcast or Technical environment - 1+ years
- Education: Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical skills: General knowledge of IP networking and cross-platform operating systems and applications, basic broadcast equipment knowledge/experience should include cameras in the field and studio, digital recording devices, video switchers (routing and/or production), audio systems and related equipment
- Skills: Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances and solve basic problems while demonstrating a positive attitude and positive approach, effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Abilities: Learn to apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, report, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of the systems investment
- Schedule: Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies, ability to work weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the State of residence
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with broadcast standards
- Knowledge of Audio/Video over IP
Certifications:
- SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers) - CTO
- Network - CCENT
Working Conditions
- Office environment. May entail phone or physical presence at the facility for equipment failure or other issues that may arise.
- Travel: 15% where applicable
