Zayo is seeking an Associate Account Manager, which is a quota bearing role that plays an integral role in revenue generation and relationship building for a subset of Zayo’s Carrier accounts. This position is responsible for assisting Account Directors by handling most transactional customer requests, backbone network opportunities, renewals and large RFPs. These requests encompass quoting, service prospecting and order creation as well as general questions related to the customer’s embedded base of services. This role requires frequent collaboration with Customers, Account Directors, Deal Management, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Service Delivery teams.  Consequently, it is critical for the Associate Account Manager to actively manage projects that involve other internal teams to meet customer expectations. The Associate Account Manager is often the first touchpoint for the customer.  It is essential for this role to provide frequent updates to our internal and external customers in order to display Zayo’s commitment to best in class account management and customer service.

 

The primary focus of the Associate Account Manager is to handle customer requests that come into the sales team and generated by the Account Director. These requests include quoting, service prospecting, order creation and general questions related to the customers embedded base of services.  Additionally, the role will require regular syncs with sales management to understand the evolving customer needs and overall account strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Run bulk MAC requests using the Salesforce Data Loader.

  • Process Auto-Renewals for Services set to expire.

  • Maintain data integrity across embedded base for services renewing via automated jobs.

  • Troubleshoot errors within Salesforce to aid sales people when creating or moving orders.

  • Work closely with product teams within Zayo to get approved pricing for renewals, upgrades, etc.

  • Facilitate orders received via the ASR queue and review to make appropriate changes at the service level.

  • Stage orders for disconnect requests and ensure orders are processed in a timely manner.

  • Assist the Billing Integrations team to create orders and review invoices prior to sending bills following the close of an acquisition.

  • Handle service change requests that come in through the ASR queue and get orders created and moved quickly.

  • Coordinate with various product teams to facilitate the Trade-in Program and ensure order accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of one (1) year in telecom space preferred.

  • Efficient with computers, experience using CRM system; experience with Salesforce a strong plus, not required.

  • Experience with change order processing preferred.

  • Attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing requests in a professional manner.

  • Desire to understand process, identify improvements, and implement change.

  • Basic understanding of telecommunications products.

Preferred location: Denver, CO; hybrid work environment

Location: Will consider applicants that reside in the continental US for remote work.

Estimated base salary range: $49,000 - $65,300 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
