Job Summary:

Real Chemistry is looking for an Associate Account Director to join our growing Global Inclusion and Health Equity (GIHE) team!  

The GIHE team applies data driven, inclusion and health equity solutions that seamlessly connects dots across the Real Chemistry ecosystem. The Associate Account Director is responsible for client relationships and serves as a trusted partner to clients. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who has experience in inclusive, integrated marketing and communications, and has the ability to shape impact-driven programming which improves health experiences and outcomes for all.   In addition, they will help implement inclusion and health equity strateiges and galvanize cross-functional team members to think smarter, work effectively, drive innovative and integrated solutions, and deliver groundbreaking results and client satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the team(s) and GIHE account(s) to which you’re assigned: Responsible for ensuring that Client’s needs are evaluated and achieved in the delivery of the various tactics and campaigns we’re responsible for executing.

  • Support the account leaders and health equity strategists to which you’re assigned: Responsible for being the primary support system for the team to which you will be assigned. As such, your day-to-day responsibilities will be constantly adjusted and evolve with the needs of the client and the projects/campaigns we execute.

  • Clinical Trial Recruitment: Support the development and implementation of HCP and patient recruitment strategies that align with study objectives, timelines, and cohort goals. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clinical trial messaging is clear, accessible, and culturally relevant, reducing misinformation and increasing interest in participation. Lead the creation of awareness campaigns for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on the importance of clinical research, with a strong focus on engaging underrepresented communities. Amplify key clinical trial messages by overseeing the development of compelling content across internal and external platforms. Drive awareness of clinical trials among underrepresented populations through targeted communication strategies.

  • Desk Research: Play a key role in conducting desk research for industry trends and updates related to inclusion and equity, and most importantly in support of the GIHE team and its clients.

  • Foster Trusted Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring work consistently exceeds expectations.

  • Proactively Manage Issues: Identify potential challenges early and recommend solutions to mitigate risks.

  • Align on Expectations: Clearly communicate client goals internally to ensure teams deliver on performance and quality standards.

  • Drive Business Solutions: Collaborate with client peers to address business and communications challenges effectively.

  • Support Organic Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing client relationships and services.

  • Lead and Inspire Teams: Manage and motivate teams through clear performance objectives, active coaching, and career development.

  • Train and Mentor: Equip junior staff with knowledge of processes, account management responsibilities, and industry landscape.

  • Promote Cross-Functional Collaboration: Encourage teamwork across disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality results.

  • Steer Strategic Planning: Contribute to quarterly and annual strategic communications planning and business analysis.

  • Ensure Financial Stewardship: Manage budgets, oversee internal resources, and help achieve financial targets and revenue goals.

  • Oversee Project Execution: Manage multiple projects of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational excellence.

  • Streamline Processes: Identify opportunities to improve, elevate, and innovate tactical processes across teams.

  • Develop Client Deliverables: Draft program decks, media strategies, and POVs for senior team review and client presentation.

  • Spot Growth Opportunities: Leverage knowledge of Real Chemistry’s capabilities to identify ways to help clients succeed and expand integrated services (e.g., social media, digital, content).

What you should have:

  • The position may require some domestic travel for client meetings and conferences (10 percent). Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field or equivalent experience is required (6-8+ years)

  • Must have healthcare PR experience; integrated experience preferred

  • Experience in inclusive patient recruitment and retention and clinical research

  • Knowledge of clinical trials, and experience with applicable clinical research regulatory requirements (i.e. GCP and ICH guidelines)

  • Demonstrated passion in inclusion and health equity

  • Thorough understanding of the ever-changing digital landscape

  • Exceptional project management skills: demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets

  • Excellent business communication skills

  • Informal/formal presentation and writing skills; including presenting to clients

  • Skilled in data communication

  • Can explain complex technical terms, clinical trials, and studies pertaining to the brand

  • Able to develop final documents and presentations and guide strategy for junior staff

  • Able to communicate critical information to management and the client

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong and productive client relationships

  • Able to develop solutions to client needs and problems:

  • Collaborates with internal partners to strategize ideas

  • Researches the market to identify trends and data to support ideas

  • Understands program objectives and strategies

  • Ability to direct and synthesize research for new business

  • Have a professional presence, perform with a sense of urgency and with a profound client service orientation

  • High energy, able to effectively operate in fast-paced, growing and evolving environment

Pay Range: $85,000 - $105,000
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.  Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Working with Real HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work.
