Job Description

As part of our expanding operations, we are now looking for an awesome Assistant Manager to join our growing tax and finance team in London to support both tax and transfer pricing compliance matters across EMEA, as well as to support with ad-hoc planning projects as Wise continues to grow under its exciting mission.

You’ll be part of a commercially-minded team, helping to ensure our tax affairs are efficient, transparently compliant, and slick so that our mission is sustainable while simultaneously receiving all the care and development support you need to help you grow and unlock your potential.

Your Mission

  • Support the preparation and/or review of transfer pricing compliance requirements, including the group’s Master File, Local Files (global), and other compliance matters such as information returns and CbCR notifications.

  • Support the team with transfer pricing quarterly calculations and quarterly reconciliations.

  • Assist with the preparation of IFRS year-end tax reporting and tax provisions for local statutory accounts and group reporting, with the help of advisors where necessary.

  • Work closely with financial controllers, accounting, and finance system teams for sources of data and information, including directly extracting information from our ERP system.

  • Support the tax team on ad-hoc research and technical projects as Wise continues its growth mission, such as expansions into new countries or new product launches, and liaising with external advisors to ensure tax requirements are fully met. This may include:

    • Supporting transfer pricing functional analysis interviews, held both locally and at the group level.

    • Assisting with technical tax and transfer pricing research and analyses for ad-hoc planning projects.

    • Engaging in team-wide initiatives involving budgeting, forecasting, planning, and risks and controls. This will require close interest and collaboration with all members of the tax team, as well as with team members from other parts of the business.

  • Proficient experience of working with Excel/Google sheets

  • Experience (or interest!) in automation solutions and tools for tax and transfer pricing implementation processes.

  • A good understanding of core accounting principles (and how they may  interplay with tax and transfer pricing).

  • Independent self-starter with amazing communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels, attention to detail, and a passion to learn and grow (even when faced with new or unfamiliar challenges!).

Some extra skills that would be great:

  • Fully qualified CTA or similar.

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or economics

  • Some in-house experience would be preferred
