The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Program Director to join the Resilience Behavioral Health team in Walpole, MA. This is a full-time leadership role supporting the daily operations of outpatient mental health services within a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical foundation, proven leadership skills, and a genuine passion for supporting both clients and clinical staff in a structured outpatient setting.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Program Director in overseeing daily operations of outpatient mental health services, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to clinical standards.
- Support clinical staff by providing supervision, mentorship, and ongoing training to enhance therapeutic skills and program effectiveness.
- Coordinate treatment planning sessions, ensuring individualized care plans are comprehensive and client-centered.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings to promote collaboration among therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and support staff.
- Monitor client progress and program outcomes, implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Assist with compliance documentation, data collection, and reporting to meet regulatory requirements.
- Engage with clients to promote active participation in treatment, integrating gender-affirming counseling approaches, art therapy, and psychopharmacological awareness where appropriate.
Requirements
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field required.
- Licensure in the state of Massachusetts preferred.
- Proven experience working in outpatient mental health settings with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices including psychopharmacology and art therapy techniques.
- Strong understanding of gender issues counseling and culturally competent care approaches.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support clinical teams.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Benefits
Compensation and Schedule
- Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Location: 1600 Providence Hwy Suite 250, Walpole, Massachusetts
