Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Process Engineering Manager to support and optimize manufacturing processes at Unilever India Exports Ltd. This role involves contributing to process improvements, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high-quality production standards.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
* Conduct process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and quality assurance, to implement new processes and technologies.
* Monitor process performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for intervention.
* Participate in troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
* Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for various processes.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
* Support the training and development of production operators on new and existing processes.
* Assist in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
* Contribute to capital expenditure projects, including feasibility studies and project execution.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG sector.
* Proven track record of process optimization and problem-solving.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., ISO).
* Experience with project management is a plus.
