Job Description:

At Berklee, students from around the world come to explore and shape the future of music, dance, theater, and the creative arts. The Assistant Director of Recruitment Experience plays a vital role in welcoming the next generation—designing and executing dynamic experiences that inspire prospective students to imagine themselves thriving at Berklee.

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Admissions, this position helps drive the enrollment strategy for both Berklee College of Music and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The Assistant Director leads the delivery of high-impact, student-centered events—on campus, online, and on the road—and oversees key systems that support auditions, interviews, and faculty engagement. This is a role for someone who thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment and is passionate about the arts, innovation, and higher education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the SlideRoom application system, including updates and troubleshooting
  • Manage Berklee Admissions’ social media, including content and engagement strategy
  • Supervise a small team of staff, faculty, alumni, and ambassadors during recruitment travel/events
  • Ensure consistency and quality in prospective student experiences across platforms
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support training, communications, and enrollment goals
  • Conduct admissions interviews and provide thoughtful recommendations for admission
  • Serve as a key liaison for prospective student visits, campus events, and external partnerships
  • Plan and lead recruitment clinics, info sessions, and audition/interview events

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and energized by the opportunity to represent Berklee to prospective students and families. They understand how to create inclusive, inspiring experiences that resonate across artistic disciplines and cultures. They are also a thoughtful collaborator, able to balance logistical execution with student-focused innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; music or arts background strongly preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, events, or related fields
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Suite, Salesforce, Monday.com, Canva, Marq, and social platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Berklee’s programs and the broader creative industry landscape
  • Ability to travel and work occasional evenings/weekends as needed

What Berklee Offers

  • Flexible hybrid work arrangements
  • Generous time off and holidays
  • Tuition benefits for employees and dependents
  • Access to concerts, performances, and campus events
  • A collaborative culture that supports innovation and inclusion

This is more than a recruitment role—it’s a chance to shape the first chapter of a student’s creative journey.  Apply today!
