Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Assistant Controller to help manage and scale TruVideo’s accounting function. This role will oversee daily accounting operations, support month-end and year-end closes, and play a critical role in global accounting operations, including international entity setup, multi-currency consolidations, and financial reporting. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the executive team and opportunity to grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities:
● Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll processes
● Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close in accordance with U.S. GAAP
● Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
● Manage accounting for foreign subsidiaries and branches; support new entity setup, local compliance, and intercompany arrangements
● Perform multi-currency consolidations and eliminate intercompany transactions
● Coordinate with international accountants, tax advisors, and auditors
● Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for management, board, and investors
● Partner with FP&A on variance analysis, budget-to-actual reporting, and audit support
● Lead implementation and optimization of accounting systems and process automation.
● Manage and mentor accounting staff (internal and/or outsourced).
● Support audit, tax compliance, and banking relationships.
● Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Sales Ops, HR, and Product on accounting impacts of contracts, compensation, and international operations.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred
● 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including:
o 2+ years in public accounting or audit (Big 4 or regional firm preferred)
o 3+ years in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
● Hands-on experience with international accounting, foreign subsidiaries, and currency consolidation
● Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and multi-entity accounting
● Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar; ERP implementation experience a plus
● Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with reporting tools and automation platforms preferred
● Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
● Proactive, self-starter mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
