The Assistant Controller will oversee accounting processes, develop policies, maintain the general ledger, support audits, and improve systems for scaling operations.
- Assist with the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls
- Support revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and complex billing structures
- Maintain the GL and oversee account reconciliations
- Partner with CFO on audit prep, tax filings, and board/investor reporting
- Assist in scaling accounting operations as ARR grows — potentially including billing, collections, and reporting automation
- Evaluate and improve systems for scale and efficiency, specifically integrations between the incumbent ERP system, Sage Intacct, with other critical components of the tech stack, HubSpot and ClickUp
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred; other ERP systems acceptable (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Online Advanced with strong controls)
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of GAAP; revenue recognition expertise is a plus
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Annual salary range is $95,000 to $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
