Job Description
As a PWA ICA within JPMorgan Asset Management, you will partner with an external Private Wealth Alternatives Client Advisor (PWA CA) to drive market share in JPMorgan alternatives product solutions in their geographic territory. The PWA ICA will interact with both external and internal clients. External clients are financial advisors in their territory. PWA ICAs will educate their clients about the alternatives industry and JPMorgan's suite of alternatives products. Internal clients are Client Advisors and Internal Client Advisors in multiple generalist channels including Wirehouse, RIA, Independent Broker-Dealer and Chase Wealth Management channels. These internal partners will leverage PWA ICAs as specialists in alternatives-focused conversations with their clients. The candidate must work collaboratively across channels with their JPMorgan counterparts to engage and close alternatives sales opportunities.
Job responsibilities
  • Partnering with 1-2 PWA CAs in furthering our alternatives footprint within their respective sales territories
  • Identifying financial advisors that would like to be educated about JPMorgan's alternatives capabilities
  • Cultivating and managing client relationships by responding to client inquiries, providing ongoing communication with clients/prospects, and managing clients/prospects through the sales cycle, resulting in closed alternatives business
  • Functioning as an alternatives specialist for the generalist CA/ICA teams by adding value in alternatives-related conversations with their financial advisor clients
  • Having expert-level conversations by demonstrating knowledge in JPM alternatives products, alternatives product competitors, and alternatives portfolio construction

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 2+ years financial sales experience, experience selling over the phone required
  • Proven track record of success in selling alternatives products
  • Ability to demonstrate alternatives industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the client and marketplace (technical expertise)
  • Capacity to build relationships with financial advisor clients and within our broader JPMorgan Asset management organization (relationship development/management)
  • Proven success with multi-tasking and staying on top of priorities
  • Familiarity with financial markets, market terminology, capital markets history and economic indicators, along with equity, fixed income, international, emerging markets, currency and alternative asset classes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Drive to exceed activity requirements and manage multiple territory priorities
  • Ability to tell the \"JPM alternatives story\" clearly, concisely, and in a compelling way
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Required licenses: SIE, Series 7, Series 63 (or 66)
