The Private Equity Group (PEG) of J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc. is a leading global private equity program, managing $35 billion for top institutions and team member investors. Job Summary
As an Associate in the Private Equity Group (PEG) at J.P. Morgan's New York office, you will provide direct support to Portfolio Managers in sourcing and underwriting private equity investments, as well as managing the existing investment portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in comprehensive due diligence of primary investments, co-investments and secondary transactions
  • Aide in the preparation of investment memoranda and related materials
  • Support in the analysis of historical investment performance, portfolio company performance, financial statements, financial models, and industry research
  • Assist in monitoring of and reporting on existing portfolio investments

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration (or related field)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience, including private equity investing, manager selection, financial analysis, investment banking, or consulting
  • Excellent analytical, communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Willingness to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Potential/expectation for candidate to grow within the PEG
