As an Associate Investment Specialist in the Asset Management Multi-Asset Solutions team, you will support the US Advisory Models business through a blend of analytical, client-facing, and reporting work. Job responsibilities:
- Internal product manager and key stakeholder- support relationships with the various US retail advisor sales channels; serve as primary point of contact for questions and inquiries related to the MAS retail business with a focus on Model Portfolios. Represent the team in internal strategic initiatives and projects.
- Desk coverage - ensure internal coverage for the investment specialist team. This may include client meetings, client reporting, fielding inquiries from internal and external partners, and resolving them appropriately.
- Client portfolio subject matter expert- draft portfolio commentary and other Models communications, analyze client portfolios (returns, risk, performance attribution, etc.), create portfolio proposals, conduct analyses, and other ad-hoc client portfolio or business-related analysis.
- Presentation materials - point person for maintenance and development of client presentations (pitch books, webinars, investment reviews, etc.) and marketing materials. Your input and initiative will be critical as you will be expected to craft creative solutions for varying client needs. You will be expected to create and update content (presentation slides, commentary, etc.) that incorporates timely market events and help better position the Models with internal and external stakeholders. You will be partnering with portfolio managers and other investment specialists to develop and revise materials as appropriate.
- Internal / external presenter - Present market and investment insights using tools like the JPMorgan Guide to the Markets, covering macroeconomic trends, tactical asset allocation, and diversification strategies, while clearly articulating model portfolio views and positioning to both internal sales partners and external clients through various channels such as prospecting conversations, quarterly reviews, and CE webinars.
- Training internal sales force - collaborate with sales teams to train and equip advisors with relevant market talking points, product knowledge, and implementation strategies .
- Competitive Analysis - gather and analyze the competitive advantages of our industry peers and their competitive products.
- Automation - identify inefficiencies and manual processes that could benefit from automation using tools such as Python, LLM, etc. to help drive strategic initiatives that could help grow the business.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks are crucial elements to succeed in this role. Positive attitude and creative thinking - an ability to take direction from senior team members while recognizing when to challenge legacy processes and drive efforts for improvement
- A working knowledge of investment design and portfolio construction
- Strong presentation skills
- The environment is fast-paced and demanding. Relationship building skills, flexibility, and teamwork across various teams within and outside the product group is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial industry
- Ability to deliver results in a timely and accurate manner, frequently under tight deadline
- Intellectual curiosity - questioning the status quo
- Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- SIE and Series 7, 63 and 3 certifications are required within 120 days
- Interest in pursuing CFA is desirable; possible sponsorship after one year
- Prior experience in finance or related fields
- Coding experience a plus
