This is not a remote work opportunity
Silicon That Connects the World
This Is Where Your Work Becomes Reality
Not prototype reality. Not lab reality. Global 5G network reality.
The ASICs you'll help design at Ericsson are embedded in the infrastructure powering millions of connections every second. If you're the kind of engineer who gets a rush from seeing your RTL travel all the way from specification to silicon - and you want to do it at the highest level of the craft - keep reading.
What You'll Be Part Of
Ericsson Silicon's ASIC IP organization is a world-class semiconductor team on a mission: build the custom silicon that makes next-generation 5G networks possible. Our IP teams design, verify, and deliver the functional RTL blocks that sit at the heart of these ASICs - and we're growing.
This is a role that puts you at the intersection of development and product, where what you build actually ships. You'll work across 3rd-party IP integration, RTL design, simulation and debug, and PPA optimization - with the tools, teammates, and technology to do it right.
What You'll Do
Write and verify RTL - clean, purposeful, production-bound code
Take designs from specification all the way to silicon CMOS circuitry
Analyze and optimize circuits on advanced process nodes
Wield state-of-the-art EDA tools to design and verify complex ASICs
Partner with engineers across disciplines on cross-functional initiatives
Collaborate with the backend team to close on synthesis, area, and timing
What You Bring to the Table
What You'll Bring:
BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Several years of hands-on, in industry RTL design experience at block and/or top level
Solid foundation in digital logic design
Strong command of C/C++, TCL, and/or Python
Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
Deep understanding of clock domain crossing (CDC) and static timing analysis (STA)
Hands-on experience with RTL linting and CDC tools - Synopsys SpyGlass and its peers
Bonus points if you bring:
Experience with AMBA interfaces - APB, AXI, ACE-Lite, CHI
Background in computer architecture or VLSI systems
IP knowledge across SerDes, PCIe, ARM subsystems, DSPs, accelerators, or Ethernet
Experience with EDA toolchains from Cadence, Mentor, or Synopsys
Comfort with Git and Linux environments
Who Thrives Here
You're curious. You chase problems down until they're solved. You don't wait to be told there's a better way - you find it. You thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where the work is technically demanding and the impact is real. You understand that change isn't a disruption - it's an opportunity.
If that sounds like you, Ericsson is where you do the best work of your career.
