Job Summary
The Area HR Manager plays a critical role in driving strategic HR initiatives across a designated region. This role partners closely with VP/GM's, Area Leadership, and the broader HRBP team to deliver high-impact people strategies, ensure compliance, and foster a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor to area leadership, providing guidance on organizational design, performance management, and change initiatives.
- Conduct monthly HR business reviews with VP/GM's to assess people metrics, talent gaps, and action plans.
- Lead year-end performance management processes, including goal setting and calibrations below Director level.
- Support talent identification, succession planning, and development efforts across the area.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives for underperformers, including development and follow-up on performance improvement plans.
- Manage open roles within the area, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy and ensure timely updates for hires, terminations, transfers, and compensation changes.
- Handle day-to-day HR transactions and employee inquiries with a strong service orientation.
- Integrate Area HR Managers (AHRMs) into the HRBP team to streamline support and reduce VP/GM-led HR touchpoints.
- Partner with the Sr. Director HRBP Consumer to enhance communication channels between VP/GMs, HRBP team, and Area leadership.
- May be deployed to different parts of the business in partnership with HRBP leaders to assist with strategic projects, initiatives, and launches.
- Connect with Labor Lead-related to training and awareness initiatives to promote compliance and best practices.
- Assist with organizational restructures and change management efforts in collaboration with HRBPs.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies, escalating risks as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- 5+ years of HR generalist or HRBP experience required; prior exposure to regional or area-based HR roles is desirable.
- Strong understanding of local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, particularly with senior leaders.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, organizational design, and performance management.
- Strong data analytics capability with the ability to translate metrics into actionable plans.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, data integrity, and reporting.
- Proven ability to manage HR operations with a service-oriented approach.
