As an Applied AI/ML Senior Associate in our Data Science team, you will develop and apply machine learning methods to tasks such as recommendation systems and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering). You will collaborate with various teams and engage in the knowledge-sharing community, working in a collaborative environment with business, technologists, and control partners to deploy solutions into production. A keen interest in machine learning and a willingness to learn and experiment with new innovations in the field are crucial. You should have a foundational understanding of recommender systems and machine learning techniques, with some hands-on implementation experience, as well as analytical thinking, a desire to learn, and strong motivation.
Job responsibilities
  • Assist in developing machine learning models to address real-world problems, including tasks like recommendation systems and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
  • Support the analysis and evaluation of the ongoing performance of developed models.
  • Collaborate with business, operations, and technology colleagues to understand AI needs and explore possible solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of machine learning and data pipelines and support the orchestration of ML models to meet various deliverables.
  • Help build model prediction pipelines with application and front-end integrations.
  • Participate in large-scale data modeling experiments and explain concepts to stakeholders.
  • Work with partner teams such as Business, Technology, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and Business Management to deploy solutions into production.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Software Engineers to productionize models and work with business partners to identify impactful projects and ensure client satisfaction.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematical Sciences, or Machine Learning
  • At least 3 years of experience in programming languages like Python and applying data science and ML techniques to solve business problems
  • Basic understanding of recommender systems and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering)
  • Experience with Machine Learning toolkits (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
  • Ability to assist in designing experiments and evaluating model performance aligned with business goals
  • Fundamental grasp of Big Data and scalable model training
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
  • Familiarity with building and deploying ML models on AWS using tools like Sagemaker, EC2, Glue, etc.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Interest in research in areas of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Reinforcement Learning
  • Familiarity with A/B experimentation and data-driven product development
  • Ability to develop and debug code
  • Knowledge of continuous integration models and unit test development
