As an Applied AI ML Associate with JP Morgan Chase within our AI/ML & Data Platform team you will work to develop and deploy generative AI and applied AI solutions. This role requires expertise in full-stack development with Python and React, combined with hands-on experience implementing AI agents and frameworks. The position involves building scalable AI applications, integrating agentic systems, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure to support enterprise-level AI initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications using Python backend services and React frontend interfaces.
- Implement generative AI solutions and applied AI models for business use cases across the organization.
- Build and deploy agentic frameworks including LangGraph, Google ADK, and AutoGen for autonomous AI systems.
- Develop real-time communication systems using WebSockets and A2A protocols for seamless data exchange.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate services through AWS ECS and Lambda functions.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform for scalable cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes.
- Optimize application performance and ensure security compliance across all AI implementations.
- Maintain code quality through testing, documentation, and peer review processes.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Python programming and ecosystem
- Advanced knowledge of React and TypeScript for frontend development
- Hands-on experience with generative AI and applied AI implementations
- Working knowledge of agentic frameworks including LangGraph, Google ADK, and AutoGen
- Experience with A2A protocol implementation and WebSocket communication
- Proficiency in AWS services including ECS and Lambda coupled with proficiency in additional programming languages such as Java / Golang
- Strong understanding of containerization using Docker
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with additional AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
- Knowledge of vector databases and embedding technologies ; financial services industry and regulatory requirements ; security best practices for AI applications
- Experience with additional AWS services including S3, RDS, and CloudFormation along with monitoring and observability tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration; experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems ; GraphQL and REST API design
