Cooling performance limits high-power computing, semi-conductor fab, cell networks, photonics, power electronics, and most of our digital world. Alloy Enterprises enables customers to break through these constraints with novel complex metal components that dramatically improve heat dissipation in high-performance systems. Alloy’s patented Stack Forging™ process enables complex micro-geometries, resulting in single-piece, leak-tight parts that deliver superior cooling performance, lower pressure drops, and exceptional reliability. Founded in 2020, Alloy is a 45-person hardtech startup that has raised over $50M in capital and is shipping components to customers manufacturing servers, lasers, semiconductor equipment, and defense systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly technical and creative individual who will be a key bridge between our engineering, sales, and marketing teams. You will be responsible for translating our complex technology into compelling technical content that clearly demonstrates our value proposition. Your work will be instrumental in fueling our marketing campaigns and empowering our commercial teams to succeed. The ideal candidate is a nimble, hands-on engineer with a passion for storytelling and a knack for visual communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise & Collaboration:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of our Stack Forging manufacturing process and the performance characteristics of our thermal components.

    • Work closely with the core engineering team to stay abreast of new product developments and technological advancements.

    • Act as a flexible technical resource, ready to adapt and respond to the evolving needs of a fast-growing start-up.

  • Technical Content Generation: Collaborate closely with the marketing and commercial teams to conceptualize and create a wide range of high-impact technical marketing materials. This includes:

    • Designing and fabricating compelling demonstration parts that highlight the unique capabilities of our thermal components.

    • Developing and running simulations (e.g., thermal, CFD) to generate visually engaging and informative data that illustrates product performance and differentiation.

    • Creating detailed application notes, white papers, and case studies that provide technical insights and practical guidance to potential customers.

    • Producing visual aids such as graphs, charts, and animations to simplify complex technical concepts for a broader audience.

  • Marketing & Sales Enablement:

    • Serve as a key technical resource for the marketing team, providing the data and insights needed to craft accurate and persuasive marketing campaigns.

    • Support the commercial team by providing technical expertise during customer interactions, and by developing materials that address common technical questions and objections.

    • Assist in the setup and execution of compelling trade show demonstrations and presentations.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 2-5+ years of experience in a technical role, such as applications engineering, product engineering, or design engineering.

  • Strong fundamental understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and materials science.

  • Expertise with CAD software is required, OnShape experience is preferred.

  • Experience with simulation software is highly desirable.

  • A demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content.

  • A strong desire to work collaboratively across different teams and a keen interest in the commercial and marketing aspects of the business.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a customer-facing or technical sales support role.

  • Familiarity with data center thermal management solutions and their applications.

  • Experience creating content for marketing purposes (e.g., blog posts, videos, white papers).

  • A portfolio of past projects showcasing technical and creative capabilities.

If you are a talented engineer with a creative flair and a passion for technology, we encourage you to apply.
