Job Description SummaryWe have an opening for an Applications Engineer, Risk and Compliance Systems.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance Systems, the Applications Engineer acts as IT owner of various applications and platforms used by the firm’s Risk and Compliance and Information Governance teams. Key systems include Intapp Conflicts, Intake, Walls, and Terms. This is a skilled technical position responsible for leading enhancements, support, and administration of these tools in addition to working with others in developing strategy.

Job Description

The Applications Engineer is expected to perform the following tasks with guidance from the Senior Manager, as well as Senior Engineers: 

  • Day to day support, troubleshooting, and administration of key systems. Be responsive to the business and meet SLAs for ticket handling and resolution;
  • Core Risk and Compliance Systems are SaaS. Responsible for leading upgrades, enablement of new features, handling of regular maintenance, patches, etc. All should follow a standard process with communications and documentation being primary areas of focus;
  • Gather and document requirements from the business to then translate into technical solutions;
  • Create and update documentation including process and architecture diagrams, operate and maintain plans, system design documents, and knowledge base articles;
  • Assist the Quality Assurance team with test scripts, procedures, and defect remediation;
  • Assist the Learning and Development team with materials such as user guides, live sessions, and videos;
  • Be able to speak the language of the Risk and Compliance team in order to perform analysis of processes, recommend application features, and respond to questions;
  • Stay current on product roadmaps and new technologies in the risk and compliance space. Demonstrate that knowledge in consulting the business, responding to new requests and business needs;
  • Maintain a close partnership with IntApp and other key vendors;
  • Work with relevant IT and InfoSec teams in delivering enhancements and new capabilities; and
  • Understand and adhere to IT Change Management, SDLC, ISO, and Incident Management processes.

Proficiencies:

  • Possess strong communication, organization, customer service, and collaboration skills;
  • Knowledge of cloud systems including features, integrations, and release management;
  • Knowledge of system integrations including APIs, web services, FTP, and relational databases;
  • Ability to work with project management on tasks and tools such as Confluence and JIRA;
  • Familiarity with security best practices and procedures;
  • Familiarity with data governance best practices and procedures; and
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in risk and compliance, data governance, and general counsel business processes required;
  • At least 3 years of information technology experience preferred;
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with and supporting enterprise platforms preferred;
  • At least 3 years management level engagement and customer service preferred; and
  • At least 3 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment preferred.

The salary wage range for New York that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $101,500 and a maximum of $147,500 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.

The salary wage range for Boston that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $101,500 and a maximum of $147,500 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.

The salary wage range for Washington, DC that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $95,300 and a maximum of $138,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.

    The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
