Summary
The Application Support Developer is responsible for assisting in the support of proprietary applications developed in cutting-edge Cloud Computing technologies using C# on the .NET framework, WCF, SOAP, JSON, REST, JavaScript, XML, Workday, Salesforce Force.com, APEX, Visual Force, and Object Oriented Design. The ideal candidate will need to be a fast learner with the ability to quickly grasp and understand technology. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of putting themselves in challenging situations and excelling. This position falls under the Research and Development team, which is responsible for building and maintaining some of the mission-critical applications that help differentiate our business.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for specific applications, providing a timely response to technical questions and problems
- Takes corrective action or escalates the issues to the appropriate resource as necessary
- Communicates proactively and effectively with Business Users, Sr. Software Developers, and Management.
- Logs and tracks basic problems/work tickets with external product vendors or support organizations.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives/projects as necessary.
- Collaborates with other R&D resources
- Participates in the design, testing,g and/or documentation of new or existing applications, which includes upgrades, enhancements, bug fixes, as assigned
- Utilize their “mind for business” and the Agile methodology to iteratively create effective problem statements and user stories to deliver exceptional solutions that meet and exceed business objectives
- Communicate complex concepts regarding solution scope and deliverables
- Properly document solutions, through the use of various tools, to clearly communicate requirements, roles, and responsibilities to business and technical users

Qualifications
Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
Required
- A bachelor's degree in computer Science or a related business area is required
- 1-2 years of experience in software development, reporting, and application support preferred
- Excellent GPA
- Proven track record of excellence
- Passionate about technology and learning new technologies
- A firm understanding of object-oriented programming
- Experience with developing and consuming Web Services
Preferred
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus
