We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Applications Engineer to provide technical leadership and support for Advantest’s V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems. In this role, you will work closely with customers and partners to deliver innovative test solutions, drive successful implementations, and influence business outcomes through technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical engagements throughout the sales and support lifecycle, including requirements analysis, feature demonstrations, competitive benchmarking, and solution implementation.
- Ensure Advantest products meet customer specifications and integrate seamlessly into their test environments.
- Analyze complex customer requirements and provide expert guidance on performance, design optimization, test program development, and implementation strategies.
- Design and validate test solutions that align with customer business objectives.
- Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to deliver comprehensive customer solutions, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and Advantest’s field and factory teams, representing customer needs and feedback.
- Develop and manage project plans for complex engagements, tracking milestones and deliverables.
- Deliver technical training and consultation to customers, including the creation of training materials and documentation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and share insights with global technical teams.
- Build strong customer relationships by delivering value through technical expertise and becoming a trusted advisor in their decision-making processes.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor testing.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of semiconductor devices and proven debugging skills for test programs.
- Proficiency in Java programming and working knowledge of Linux environments.
- Ability to quickly learn and develop test programs using high-level APIs in Java or C++.
- Experience with V93000 SmarTest 8 platforms is a strong plus.
- Experience with AI-Tools such as Microsoft- or GitHub-Copilot is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl and Python is a plus.
- Knowledge of Analog and Power devices testing is desirable
- Hands-on experience with the V93000 platform is preferred.
Project & Communication Skills:
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude are essential.
