The Application Engineer & Project Manager will manage the installation, integration, and maintenance of AI-powered salmon sorting machines while overseeing new development projects and feasibility studies.
About Aquaticode:
We have invented and are producing the industry-leading, AI-powered platform and machine solution to sort salmon fish according to gender, deformities, diseases, etc. We are rolling our product out in Northern Europe and looking for an ambitious application engineer and project manager, who is looking to take responsibility across a core region for Aquaticode.
Existing Machines (first priority):
- Supervision of the build process during the manufacturing of the machines by our partners
- Responsible for installation, integration, and maintenance throughout the machine lifecycle
- Problem analysis, support, and troubleshooting via remote diagnostics and on-site in Northern Europe
New Development (second priority):
- Execution and documentation of feasibility studies
- Specification and project management of the development of new solutions
- Own the product/solution through the complete life cycle (from invention to maintenance considerations) in collaboration with partners and management
- Manage & document process, project, specifications, and drawings
- Proven experience in automation as Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineer or similar role
- Track record of deploying automation solutions (machines) in the field
- Apply solution thinking (consider all aspects of the automation solution)
- Project management skills
- As it has not been done before, apply agile work style to iterate quickly to get to solution
- Work self-directed and solution oriented (we are a remote first company)
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in customer interaction/client-facing
- BSc in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or similar field; Master’s degree is a plus
- Willing and excited to travel up to 80% of total time
- Very good English proficiency, Norwegian is a plus
- Aquaculture experience is a plus
