We’re looking for an APAC Regional Lead to drive communications between APAC teams and the Autonomys Network Team, support marketing strategies, and community engagement across the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the Web3 landscape, particularly within PoS, PoW blockchain communities. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential. Additional language skills in Cantonese, Japanese, or Korean are considered a significant advantage.


This role will start on a 3 month contract (contract-to-hire basis) with the potential to take on a broader role, based on performance.


As APAC Growth Lead at Autonomys, you will partner with our Head of Marketing to create regional growth campaigns, engage local developer communities, and ensure strategic alignment with our global roadmap.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Market Strategy & Execution: Tailor GTM Strategy for key APAC regions, driving Autonomys’ presence and adoption alongside the Autonomys Marketing Team. This includes, supporting major PR Campaigns and Distribution channels to amplify key announcements, product marketing, and user onboarding, as well a finalizing a KOL & Affiliate Marketing strategy in APAC alongside the Head of Marketing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Connect with our Stakeholders in the APAC region, serving as the main liaison between APAC and the Head of Marketing at Autonomys. This includes connecting with our stakeholders in the APAC region as well as fostering new relationships with blockchain, AI, and enterprise partners; representing Autonomys at regional events and conferences.
  • APAC Events: Develop regional event opportunities including conferences, side-events, and developer syncs within the APAC region.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with marketing, and dev teams to align regional initiatives with global objectives, driving detailed project definition and cross-functional alignment.
  • Performance Reporting: Track market metrics, partnership pipelines, and user engagement to help refine strategies.

Required Skills:

  • Proven Experience: 3+ years in Web3, AI, or related business development roles.
  • Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of APAC’s tech and blockchain landscapes, with a history of successfully launching initiatives in diverse markets.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and Mandarin (required); Cantonese, Japanese, or Korean skills are a strong advantage.
  • Technical Familiarity: Comfortable discussing core blockchain protocols (e.g., Filecoin, Chia) and decentralized AI integrations.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Able to operate autonomously and adapt quickly in a fast-evolving environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Substrate and the Polkadot ecosystem.
  • Experience promoting developer SDKs and internal tools.
  • Familiarity with the APAC region specifically China, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and Korea.
  • Experience managing KOLs and executing an affiliate marketing program with success in APAC.
  • Deep understanding of PR and Marketing channels within China, specifically local platforms such as WeChat.
  • Coordinating in-person events at defined opportunities in China, Vietnam, Singapore and Korea.
