The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,200.00 to $160,500.00. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Main point of contact for facility maintenance in Andover R&D space. Oversees facility maintenance (hard services) provided by Pfizer Global Workplace Experience (GWE)-hired vendors and monitors Pfizer PGS IFM providers, with the ultimate goal to minimize and/or eliminate unplanned R&D business disruptions.
- Hold providers accountable for prioritization and completion of preventative and corrective work orders by service providers. Attend daily IFM huddles. Participate in routine KPI reviews. Ensure planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs are completed by due date.
- Collaborate with Pfizer Global Supply's (PGS) Engineering, Maintenance and Utilities (EMU) team to troubleshoot and resolve building system/equipment issues continuous operations.
- Main point of contact between R&D customers and EMU during emergency responses, shutdowns, and infrastructure/utility events.
- Manage the facilities maintenance (hard services) program for Building K. This includes managing and holding accountable a team of three (3) maintenance personnel from the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) maintenance service provider to meet specific hard service KPIs for Building K.
- Oversee (and perform as needed) maintenance of R&D cold rooms, autoclaves, and glass washers across R&D buildings at the Andover site.
- Oversee and/or directly manage small expense (OpEx) projects in R&D lab spaces on time and on budget. This includes developing scope of work, project execution plans, project management, and vendor procurement as required by the project. This also includes managing a team of three (3) contract personnel that plan and execute small lab expense projects.
- Serve as a building/lab infrastructure subject matter expert for GWE Project Management capital projects by participating in feasibility assessments, performing design reviews and project walkthroughs, and advising on site procedures and specifications.
- Own the operation, maintenance, and compliance of Siemens Desigo Environmental Monitoring System for cold rooms and incubators.
- Provide guidance on building management/controls standards to effectively and efficiently meet requirements and targets for environmental control, Sustainability, EHS and data retention.
- Ensure safety and compliance of all GWE maintenance and projects with Pfizer and regulatory requirements.
- Track expenses and accruals against relevant line items of GWE budget.
- Participate in cross-site GWE Hard Services community of practice sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with 8 years of relevant experience; Or a Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of Biopharmaceutical R&D operations, facilities management.
- Extensive experience in effective facilities vendor management.
- A strong background in small expense project management from design to execution.
- Working knowledge of the design, operation and maintenance of purified water, steam, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, refrigeration, gases, and other building/lab systems in a cGMP biopharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with reliability programs along with ability to analyze equipment failures using personal knowledge and internal and external resources.
- Able to work across functional areas such as operations, maintenance, quality and regulatory.
- Familiarity with building automation systems and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to read and generate documents such as Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and Qualification documents.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and other software.
- A positive "can do" attitude with the ability to effectively lead and direct the work of others.
- A track record of successfully building and growing maintenance and/or project management programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with site leadership, stakeholders, PGS partners, engineers, and maintenance personnel.
- Ability to shift priorities according to changes in departmental/facility needs and openness to different ideas/approaches.
