Lead the analytics engineering team, manage data infrastructure, collaborate with various teams, build models, and establish best practices.
We’re seeking a hands-on Analytics Engineering Lead to head our data infrastructure and modeling efforts. In this role you will manage a small team while also contributing directly as an individual contributor. You’ll collaborate closely with our analytics, data science, and ML teams to deliver high-quality, reliable data to the whole company.

Responsibilities
- Manage a small team of data engineers
- Expert knowledge of dbt, including experience building complex transformations, implementing testing frameworks, and optimizing dbt workflows for performance and reliability
- Act as a hands-on IC Analytics Engineer, building models and pipelines to serve the Data Org’s needs.
- Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and ML teams to understand needs and priorities. Own the team’s roadmap.
- Establish best practices for data modeling, testing, QA, and documentation
- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies across the data stack
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Experience with BI tools like Looker, Omni, or similar
- Strong grasp of data warehouse concepts (Snowflake experience is a plus)
- Track record of working closely with analytics teams and understanding business metrics
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing data/analytics engineering teams
- Experience supporting ML teams or ML infrastructure
- Proficiency in Python
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud platforms
- Understanding of data governance and compliance
