We launched a new ad-supported tier in November 2022 and are building an in-house world-class ad tech ecosystem to offer our members more choices in consuming their content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach deeply engaged audiences.

The Ads Measurement team builds the foundation for measuring advertising effectiveness in a trustworthy manner at Netflix. Our mission is to provide advertising results for advertisers in a transparent and privacy-compliant manner— while setting a high bar for the validity of the advertiser-facing products that we provide. As the Netflix Ads platform continues to scale, the accuracy and consistency of what advertisers see from our measurement solutions are central to the product experience.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll design metrics, generate insights by scoping and executing deep dive analysis, and provide recommendations from a rigorous evaluation of advertiser measurement experiments. The ideal candidate for this role will excel at collaborating with partners across our business, using data to help inform product decisions within the measurement space and beyond. They will also be a thought leader in the advertising analytics domain, capable of transforming complex metrics and data science outputs into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reporting for internal measurement products and external measurement integrations.

  • Analyze and interpret data to understand and provide recommendations for the effectiveness of advertiser measurement.

  • Spearhead the creation of metrics that provide insight and help with decision-making for cross-functional teams.

  • Identify opportunities and create solutions to automate and scale ad hoc requests.

  • Develop high-impact visualizations and analyses to build visibility into the health of our ad platform and lead efforts to scale reporting through automation.

  • Proactively identify gaps and opportunities for innovation in analytics engineering, and drive initiatives to address them.

  • Experiment with and evaluate new technologies, including Generative AI solutions, to improve analytics, reporting, and data accessibility.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in SQL, at least one programming language (e.g. Python), and visualization.

  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL frameworks, and analytics tools.

  • A strong communicator with the ability to build meaningful stakeholder relationships.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight.

  • Prior experience in ad tech, streaming, or technology product companies is a plus.


Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $330,000.00 - $566,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
