About the Role:

The Volition Capital Analyst Program is a structured, two-year program designed for exceptional undergraduates or early professionals seeking a career-defining experience in growth equity investing. Modeled after the analyst tracks at leading consulting and investment banking firms, this immersive program provides a deep foundation in sourcing, financial analysis, market research, and strategic thinking — all within a dynamic, entrepreneurial investment team.

Analysts will be front-line contributors from day one, working alongside Partners and senior team members to identify, evaluate, and help execute investments in fast-growing technology businesses. The program is intentionally rigorous, fast-paced, development-focused, and built to develop the foundation of great investors.

At the end of the two years, top-performing Analysts will be considered for promotion into Volition’s Associate Program — a longer-term investing track. Others will graduate with a prestigious, hands-on investing experience and go on to pursue roles at top-tier startups, Volition portfolio companies, MBA programs, or other leading investment firms.

What You’ll Do:

Every day, you’ll be expected to operate towards the mission of Volition’s Analyst program:

“Identify, evaluate, and qualify high-potential, founder-owned businesses by developing a deep understanding of market dynamics, business models, and growth drivers — serving as a critical front-line contributor to Volition’s investment pipeline and supporting high-quality deal execution throughout the two-year program.”

How You’ll Do It:

  1. Think!

  • Think like an investor – hitting numbers is a part of the process, but those who excel will go beyond sending an email to hit a number. They will reach out to founders with the purpose of identifying exceptional investment opportunities.

  1. Sourcing & Deal Origination

  • Use Volition’s proprietary tools, sourcing platforms, and thematic strategies to identify promising growth-stage companies.

  • Lead outreach to founders and C-level executives — often serving as their first point of contact with Volition.

  • Track market trends, monitor competitive landscapes, and surface insights on emerging investment themes.

  1. Pipeline Management & Execution

  • Maintain an organized and data-driven deal pipeline.

  • Prioritize and escalate high-value deals with conviction, ensuring seamless handoff to senior team members.

  • Ensure pipeline diversification across industries, deal stages, and geographies.

  1. Financial & Market Analysis

  • Build and present financial models, supporting investment decisions with valuation insights.

  • Develop a deep understanding of key financial metrics (revenue growth, EBITDA, retention, CAC, LTV, etc.).

  • Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to assess investment potential.

  1. Intellectual Curiosity & Investment Research

  • Present industry trends or investment thesis, demonstrating market expertise.

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and investment themes to inform sourcing strategies.

  • Proactively seek mentorship, challenge conventional thinking, and develop unique investment perspectives.

  1. Execution, Resilience & Communication

  • Execute outbound touchpoints (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to engage founders.

  • Maintain persistence and adaptability in founder interactions, refining messaging and positioning.

  • Communicate investment insights clearly and concisely, ensuring impactful deal discussions.

  1. Collaboration & Team Contribution

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with founders, executives, and the investment community.

  • Work closely with Associates, VPs, and Partners to refine investment theses and drive deals forward.

  • Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and pipeline strategy, strengthening overall firm effectiveness.

Who You Are:

  • Graduating senior from a top-tier undergraduate program (Class of 2026) OR 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or similarly analytical roles.

  • Intellectually curious — especially about how businesses operate, grow, and create value. You have a genuine passion for understanding different business models, market dynamics, and what separates good from great companies.

  • You’re a thinker –you go beyond what is expected, look beyond what the numbers are simply telling you, and you see the whole picture, not just what is presented.

  • Exceptional communicator — clear, compelling, and confident across written and verbal formats.

  • Strong analytical and research skills; comfortable in Excel, PowerPoint, and navigating market data tools.

  • A persistent self-starter with a high attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision, and a willingness to get back on the horse when things don’t go perfectly.

  • Collaborative, humble, and growth-oriented — energized by working on a tight-knit team and learning every day.

  • You're the type of person who brings energy, light-heartedness, and positivity to your work.

Please note, we cannot sponsor new visas.
