BlackRock SMA Solutions helps clients customize portfolios for unique tax, values-alignment, or investment exposures across direct indexing, fixed income, active equity, and multi-asset. About the Role

BlackRock’s SMA Solutions business is establishing a new team dedicated to the support of customized portfolio offerings to Citi Wealth. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst/Associate to join our SMA Solutions team. The successful candidate will support daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual billing and performance processes across our Business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our performance billing operations and contributing to the overall success of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual billing processes of 8,000 accounts within the team’s service-level agreement by following established procedures and policies across US, EMEA, and APAC regions
  • Ensure the accurate and timely report of returns and composites across various asset classes such as fixed income, equities, ETFs, mutual funds, long-short strategies, and options
  • Provide exceptional, personalized service to external partners, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of attention and care. This includes proactive communication, timely resolution of issues, and a commitment to exceeding their expectations.
  • Monitor, escalate, and proactively manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring the timely collection and reconciliation of any outstanding funds owed to the firm.
  • Support various projects, including automation/standardization efforts and the evolution of standard deliverables. Lead initiatives to improve our operating model by collaborating with internal business and technology partners, ensuring continuous enhancement of processes and systems
  • Continuously seek to learn and understand how our responsibilities and processes integrate into the broader BlackRock business model. Recognize the impact of our decisions on our clients and other areas within the firm.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with a keen interest in client service and operational excellence
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment operations at an investment management firm.
  • Background in billing and performance is preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot table, formula driven data scrubbing, VBA) is a plus
  • Ability to operate/prioritize effectively and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances
For Princeton, NJ Only the salary range for this position is USD$76,000.00 - USD$95,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
