Essential job functions :
- Owns the creation and management of Seasonal General Merchandise & Candy reporting through use of Power BI. Delivers weekly and monthly sales recaps to the Category teams. Leads review of cross brand sales performance during bi-weekly meetings and in Product Review planning discussions
- Analyzes WGSN trend reports and secondary sources, including trade shows and competitive market research, to identify opportunities within Seasonal General Merchandise by subcategory/item across brands. Research and analysis for additional categories may be requested on a project basis
- Leads Pre-Review strategy discussions by brand in preparation for Product Reviews. Creates initial buy plan using sales data and go forward insights/brand strategies. Pre-selects and builds a recommended assortment at Product Review prior to Category selections. Identifies subcategory/item opportunities to maximize scale across brands
- Uses Syndigo data to analyze customer demographics and identifies strategic opportunities to drive sales growth
- Leads Pre/Post Review seasonal cost analysis reporting
- Owns initial vetting of new vendors
- Manages sample imaging process through Syndigo. Manages Seasonal General Merchandise spreads for each issue of Savory magazine
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of related Market Intelligence, Marketing, Sourcing, Category, and/or vendor management experience in General Merchandise
- Expertise in consumer insights/trends in GM resulting in successful results year over year
- Strong research & presentation skills (both developing & delivering).
- Strong understanding of fashion, trends and consumer insights
- Demonstrated facilitation skills over multiple media types (video conferences, TEAMS, Skype, conference calls, in-person meetings, etc.) with varying size groups (typically 5-25)
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment
