We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AMI Analyst to join our team. The AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Exception analyst will be responsible for resolving exceptions within the AMI Meter Data Management System, ensuring accurate and timely meter data flow, and coordinating with various teams to maintain operational efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of metering infrastructure and data management.

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office. 

Essential Functions:

  • Resolve exceptions within the AMI Meter Data Management System and associated suite of AMI systems.
  • Log tickets with vendor’s Customer Support or liaise directly on the phone with vendor’s support staff to resolve system issues
  • Conduct investigation of relevant meter events and alarms, ensure that meter-related incidents are resolved in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Troubleshoot meter data issues utilizing back-office software and systems
  • Analyze and diagnose issues causing exceptions in meter data.
  • Perform detailed analysis of exceptions to identify patterns and anomalies.
  • Issue field service orders in the CIS system to troubleshoot meters requiring in person visits
  • Generate reports on exception trends and resolution status.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving data accuracy, process automations, and system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, field operations, and customer service, to address and resolve exceptions.
  • Provide support for the maintenance, upgrade, and enhancement of AMI functionality.
  • Participate in system testing and validation to ensure data integrity.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to reduce the occurrence of exceptions.

Qualifications:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Three (3) plus years’ experience in AMI meter applications, data management, or a related role
  • Thorough knowledge of AMI systems and utility metering infrastructure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Check out our careers site for an overview of our benefits programs. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is:

$86,210.00-$95,790.00
