Roles and Responsibilities
- As the Americas HDGT NU Finance Analyst, you will:
Partner with Americas Finance Manager, Portfolio Directors, and Project core teams to provide inputs for decision making to optimize financial performance both short-term and long-term
Seek to optimize financials (P&L, Cash) and identify potential operational risks and opportunities within the portfolio to deliver better than the AS SOLD and engage with Business Partners to escalate as required
Leverage business analytics (e.g. as sold vs executed, annual margin review learnings, etc.) to drive the continuous improvement of business performance and inform operations teams of optimization opportunities
Own and support Project Directors cash metrics, including on-time billing, on-time collections, and past due reductions
Support Americas Finance Manager with operations team on all settlement, change orders, liquidated damages, cost of poor quality to achieve desired economic and financial outcomes
Partner closely with project Operations Finance (Project Finance Managers) for key processes such as: pacing/forecasting, long-term financial planning, Project Margin Reviews, and accounting, among others
Partner with Americas Finance Manager and FP&A to own the financial submissions for all planning cycles and pacing/punchlist calls, and lead pacing updates for the pole
Provide pole or project specific knowledge to the project core team/Americas Finance team to execute and progress deals towards commercial closure
Support presentations (Op Plan, Budget, Long Range Forecasts, and MORs) required to communicate Americas’ HDGT NU financial position and progress towards strategic, operational, and financial objectives to HDGT NU, Gas Power, and GE Vernova/Corporate leadership
Support systems & processes for analyzing and reporting operating results to management, including partnering with IT to drive system automation and process optimization when needed
Lead the pursuit of excellence in controllership (e.g., adherence to GE policies, regulatory compliance, audit support, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-relevant degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 6 years of experience with progressive responsibility in finance.
Desired Characteristics
Gas Power business experience and/or projects business experience
Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans
Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
Experience managing a multi-national finance organization
Strong analytical, project management and organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
