STR is seeking an All-source Analyst and Modeling Engineer who has a passion for research and development of models of cyber physical systems. Work must be performed onsite

What you will do:

  • Develop tools to help sift through large datasets to identify information relevant for modeling efforts.
  • Create system models from circuit diagrams, schematics, source code, signal processing algorithms, etc.
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams to tackle challenging problems from a wide variety of technologies to develop innovative cybersecurity solutions
  • Document, demonstrate, and present research
  • Solve real world problems that have an impact on national security

Who you are:

  • This position requires an Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by the U.S. Government
  • Active CI poly or willingness to obtain one
  • BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proficiency with modeling tools: SPICE, MATLAB,
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C/C++, Python, etc.
  • General understanding of electrical engineering: Circuit and flow diagrams, signal processing chains, network traffic data
  • Willing to travel frequently from an STR office to the customer location in MD, or spend the majority of time at customer location

Nice to have:

  • Advanced foreign language skills
  • Experience with digital twin development
  • Expertise in modeling signal processing algorithms, filter design, etc.
  • Embedded systems or firmware analysis experience
  • Knowledge of reverse engineering techniques
  • Analyzing protocols or message structures
  • Knowledge of binary file structures and formats
  • Developing automated reverse engineering or software analysis tools
  • Developing disassembler/decompiler modules
  • Debugging software without source code
  • Analyzing and reconstructing code/data flow
