About CourseCareers

CourseCareers was started with the idea that our higher education system is broken. It's overpriced, outdated, and not serving as a reliable way for students to start their careers.

We're fixing that. We've gone to war with the system and are on the front line fighting back.

No more will students be forced into debt just to be able to have access to a decent career that doesn't even utilize their education. We’re the modern way people start careers. We help everyone, ranging from 18-year-olds using our program as a college alternative to people switching their careers later in life.

Within 10 years, we're going to bankrupt nearly every college in the US, saving millions from debt. More importantly, we're unlocking all of human potential in our economy.

Become a vigilante, and be a part of history!

About the Role

We’re hiring a strategic, hands-on AI SEO Content Manager to make CourseCareers show up when people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude how to start a career. You’ll be our first hire dedicated 100% to this emerging field, leading the charge as its leader with your own P&L, budget, and full decision-making authority over strategy and team building. This means your role will be much closer to that of an entrepreneur/CEO rather than an employee.

This isn’t traditional SEO. This is LLM-first search growth—a blend of content, structure, distribution, and monitoring to make sure we’re top-of-mind (and top-of-results) in the age of AI search.

What You’ll Do

LLM Search & Citation Strategy

  • Learn and stay up to date on how LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, etc.) recommend resources

  • Identify prompts where CourseCareers should appear and reverse-engineer content to match

  • Develop strategies to get CourseCareers cited in trusted LLM sources (Reddit, Wikipedia, high-authority blogs)

Content Optimization & Creation

  • Create or optimize content designed for AI-driven search: FAQs, tutorials, expert explainers, and structured guides

  • Create and utilize an AI system for more efficiently creating content at scale

  • Rework existing CourseCareers content to be citation-worthy and LLM-friendly

  • Collaborate with freelancers and contractors for scale, when needed

Technical SEO & Structure

  • Ensure all content includes structured data (e.g. FAQ schema, HowTo markup)

  • Light technical SEO work or coordination with developers to implement schema and index best practices

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track CourseCareers’ mentions and citations across LLMs and AI search tools

  • Analyze prompt-level performance and iterate content based on what AI systems are favoring

  • Report monthly on referral traffic, LLM visibility, and wins

Content Distribution & PR Tactics

  • Post on Reddit, Quora, GitHub, and forums where LLMs crawl answers

  • Work with PR to place CourseCareers in high-authority, AI-indexed media

  • Build partnerships with creators, curators, and publications that LLMs cite

What You'll Need
  • 3+ years in content marketing and SEO

  • Proven experience writing and structuring content for visibility (SEO or similar)

  • Proven experience utilizing AI tools to more efficiently write content

  • Understanding of LLMs and how AI-driven search differs from traditional search

  • Basic familiarity with schema markup and structured data

  • Obsessed with testing, learning, and staying ahead of AI search trends

  • Strong writing skills and an eye for detail

  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and have a desire to build/lead our AI SEO Team

Compensation
  • Base pay: $50,000-$60,000 per year based on experience

  • Monthly Bonus: 20% of the total increase in profit from AI search (This will be significantly more than the base pay)

  • Total on-target earnings: $120,000 - $200,000+

Benefits
  • A true results-only environment with significant autonomy for you to build a team, the way you see fit

  • Detailed metrics that accurately show sales driven by AI Search and the support of an entire dev team behind you

  • Work fully remote, giving you the freedom to travel and spend more time with family.

  • Paid spring break off to travel and have fun

  • Fully paid annual trip to Cancun to hang out with the team

  • The ability to gain significant equity in CourseCareers, allowing you to become extremely wealthy for the value you contribute

  • We're the smartest, hardest-working, and most fun group of people you'll ever make friends with. We have an extremely pro-self-improvement & learning attitude, so we'll help level you up into the best possible version of yourself

  • Work on solving the most important and significant problem of our generation, giving you the satisfaction of knowing you changed the world

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
