Your Main Quest

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology and problem-solving. You will collaborate with our customers to deeply understand their challenges, then work hands-on to develop and deploy AI-powered solutions using computer vision and 3D simulation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with customer teams to identify the root of their technical problems and figure out the best solutions using Bifrost's AI capabilities.

  • Develop and deploy perception and computer vision models tailored to solve unique customer challenges.

  • Bridge the gap between customer needs and internal engineering/product teams to design, refine, and integrate AI-driven solutions that exceed customer expectations.

  • Serve as a key technical advisor throughout the sales engagement process, understanding customer workflows and advocating for Bifrost’s solutions.

  • Continuously collaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to improve our platform based on real-world feedback and use cases.

  • Present product demonstrations, Proofs-of-Concept (POCs), and share insights with customer stakeholders ranging from engineers to executives.

  • Become a recognized voice of the company in the industry, representing Bifrost at live/virtual events, meetups, and within technical communities.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in customer-facing engineering, with hands-on expertise in computer vision and machine learning. (2-4 can apply too)

  • Deep understanding of Python, computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, PyTorch), and experience in building AI/ML models.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to distill complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a drive to understand the customer's needs and develop innovative solutions.

  • Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams, ensuring that customer feedback is integrated into future development.

  • Bonus: Experience with Unreal or Unity gaming engines.

  • Bonus: Prior experience working in DevRel, technical evangelism, or forward-deployed roles.

  • Bonus: Familiarity with 3D tools like Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar, and a willingness to engage with simulation and 3D asset modification when needed (Blender knowledge is a plus).

Why Bifrost?

  • Inclusive, judgment-free and safe space to be yourself.

  • Small team - no red tape and bureaucracy to wade through.

  • Project ownership - take charge and unleash your skills!

  • Discover how your skills can be applied to AI - another tool in your toolbelt.

  • Flexible working hours.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
