Design and implement AI systems for scaling service agencies, lead client discovery calls, and manage development teams without writing code.

AI Operations Architect (Client-Facing)

Design AI systems that transform how the world’s fastest-growing service agencies scale.

A Day in This Role Feels Like This:

You start your morning in deep strategy with a $10M agency founder. Their client delivery is on fire… but not in a good way. You break down their processes, surface the real problem, and architect an AI agent solution with your team that scales them without hiring 5 more people.

By lunch, you’re in ClickUp mapping the entire system end-to-end — from intake to fulfillment — while coordinating with your pod of developers to build the back-end logic.

By 2PM, you’re leading an implementation call where you walk the client through the system you just finished — and they can’t believe how fast you made it happen.

By the end of the day, their team is already using the system. And your inbox is lighting up with praise.

This is a real impact role. One where you own your work, move fast, and solve un-Googleable problems every single day.

What Makes This Different

This isn’t an “AI strategist” role where you sit around ideating while someone else builds.

You’re the architect, the translator, the operator.

You work directly with clients, uncover high-leverage problems, and design systems powered by AI to solve them.

Then you work with your internal dev team to ship it fast.

You’ll think like a consultant, move like a COO, and speak like a product owner.

This role requires range — business acumen, systems thinking, client confidence, and tech intuition.

We don’t need people who “know the tools.” We need people who can understand the business, see the system, design for scale, and make clients feel like they just got a weapon no one else has.

Why This Role Exists

At our core, we help fast-growing agencies scale using AI-powered operational systems.

Our clients are drowning in Slack threads, spreadsheets, and broken processes. They’re hiring too fast and patching holes with duct tape.

You’ll be the one who stops the chaos. You’ll give them clarity, control, and momentum.

What You’ll Actually Do
  • Lead discovery calls with 7–8 figure agency owners to uncover operational bottlenecks
  • Design workflows powered by AI agents that replace hours of human labor and fix broken processes
Map systems end-to-end using tools like ClickUp, Notion, or Sheets — including automations, human handoffs, and performance tracking
Manage the delivery of AI systems by coordinating with your developer pod (but you’re not writing code)
  • Train clients on how to adopt the system, adjust their org structure, and scale it company-wide
  • Refine and iterate based on usage, feedback, and performance data
What We’re Looking For
  • You’ve worked at a top consulting firm or in a similarly strategic and client-facing role
  • You understand agency ops, service delivery, or content production workflows
  • You have strong technical fluency — no code needed, but you can confidently talk AI workflows, APIs, and automation tools
  • You’ve built internal systems from scratch that real teams use — you’re not a theorist
  • You’re elite in client communication and thrive in founder-to-founder level conversations
  • You’re obsessed with making things work — not just looking good in a deck
  • You understand AI deeply — not just as a tool, but as a capability layer that changes what’s possible
  • You’ve got an entrepreneurial bias — you solve first, ask permission later, and thrive in ambiguity
  • Must be able to have US time zone overlap during work hours since this is a client facing role
Bonus Points If You…
  • Have experience implementing AI-powered tools (AgentOps, Langchain, Zapier, GPTs, etc.)
  • Can bridge technical and business teams without losing either side
  • Have worked with ClickUp, Notion, Airtable, or custom-built systems
Why People Love This Role
  • You get full autonomy. We trust you to own the outcome.
  • You solve problems that actually matter to real businesses.
  • You work directly with top-tier clients and high-level thinkers.
  • You get better — fast. The work stretches you, and you’re surrounded by A players.
  • You’ll be part of redefining how agencies operate in the AI era.
Ready to Architect the Future?

If you’re the kind of person who sees complexity as a challenge to be cracked…

If you’ve been waiting for a role that lets you lead, build, and deliver meaningful change with AI…

And if you know you can walk into a room of sharp founders and win their trust in 10 minutes flat…

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
